Baumann Dekor shows hotel suite of the future

18 January 2010 GMT 11:30

The Austrian textile company Baumann Dekor revealed its concept of what the hotel suite of the future could look like at the Heimtextil trade show in Frankfurt, Germany.

Designed by architect Franco Passarello, the suite, with separate sleeping and living areas, has been developed together with European business partners including Baulmann Leuchten and Artemide.

Looking at globally changing markets and new challenges, Baumann believe that the hotel of the future will be judged for their easy-to-use technical equipment as well as atmospheric design, personal touch and comfort.

The concept also takes into account “growing environmental awareness, increasing mobility, and new developments in media technology,” explained Passarello at the launch.

The suite features a neutral colour scheme with Baumann’s textiles used as wallcoverings, upholstery, and for floor-to-ceiling drapes. LED lights allow for multi-functional lighting of the room.

The concept is said to mark the beginning of a new strategic approach as supplier of holistic interior design concepts for Baumann Dekor.
