Marriott opens Residence Inn Edinburgh

Marriott has launched the 107-room Residence Inn Edinburgh, the first Residence Inn branded property in the United Kingdom. The hotel, operated by Marriott International under a management agreement with Gladedale Ventures Limited, is centrally located in the Scottish capital’s new Quartermile development.

Amy McPherson, president and managing director for Marriott International in Europe said, “Following the opening of our first Residence Inn in Europe in Munich in October last year, we are thrilled to introduce our first Residence Inn here in Scotland.” McPherson added, “We are proud to call Edinburgh home and look forward to welcoming extended stay guests to this fantastic new hotel and providing them with everything they need to help them thrive and maintain balance while on the road.”

The hotel's 107 studio and one bedroom suites have been designed by architects Foster + Partners and interior design house ICA Interiors. Each suite offers a kitchen and expansive living, dining and working zones, designed for comfort for travelers staying five days or more. Special amenities include complimentary hot breakfast and Wi-Fi, grocery delivery service, 24/7 marketplace and fitness center.
