JWA working with Tolent Construction completes Days Inn in Wetherby
6 November 2009 GMT 10:58 (Wetherby, UK)
Leeds-based building contractors, Tolent Construction, working with JWA Architects for Starboard Hotels have completed the construction of a £4 million hotel development in Wetherby.
Strategically located off Junction 46 of A1, the 126-bedroom Days Inn comprises 3,776 square metres of facilities which include a self-contained conference room, business work zone and on-site parking.
Working with designers, JWA Architects, on behalf of client, Starboard Hotels, Tolent completed the contract within budget and three weeks ahead of schedule. Both parties praised Tolent’s performance:
“We are very happy with a highly professional and very friendly service from Tolent,” said Adi Hodzic, procurement director at Starboard Hotels. “It was fantastic to work with their team - during my visits I’ve never seen such a tidy, well ordered site. Tolent clearly had absolute control of their operation – it was a symphony of work which made everything easy for us. Unlike many other developers I’ve worked with, the project was completed without any problems and I would love to work with Tolent again in the future.”
“The fact that development was completed three weeks early reflects the efficiency of Tolent’s organisation,” said David Rattan, architect at JWA Architects. “Throughout the project they maintained excellent communication lines and we are impressed by the quality of their work. I’m sure that the hotel will have been pleased to open almost a month sooner than originally planned.”
