Hotel Verta will be the first integrated hotel heliport solution in Europe and will join von Essen’s Forbury Hotel in Reading and Seaham Hall Hotel in County Durham to make up the Collection’s Metropolitan Set.

 The hotel, built as part of the ‘Bridges Wharf Battersea’ development, has already won ‘Best International High Rise Architecture Award’ at the Daily Mail International property Awards which took place in November 2009.

The hotel’s design, inspired by the Halcyon days of aviation, combines timeless elegance with modernity. The hotel lobby is a striking double height atrium with a signature sweeping staircase up to the mezzanine level. All of the 70 bedrooms, including 14 suites, are furnished in a classically modern style, each with original artwork and the finest bespoke fittings.

 All day dining of traditional English and modern European dishes will be available in the elegant Patrisey Restaurant (an Anglo-Saxon name for Battersea) – whether guests fancy poached eggs or rump steak for breakfast or dinner, they can enjoy their delicious, high-quality dishes at any time of the day. In summer months, guests can enjoy views of the Thames from the al fresco terrace area.

The Vertilon bar and lounge on the mezzanine level is a glamorous, contemporary bar. The hotel also offers a tranquil subterranean oasis – Spa Verta. The Spa cocoons guests in a luxurious, rejuvenating environment offering an innovative hydro-vitality pool consisting of air loungers, air seat, standing air station and two neck massage stations, sanarium, heated lounges, steam room, sauna, gym and signature spa treatments in the four therapy rooms. There will also be a grooming room at the Spa.

Business guests are looked after by the ‘Business by Verta’ offering on the dedicated conference and events level. Cutting edge conference and meeting facilities including Wi-Fi throughout, with capacity for up to 200 delegates, will offer superb panoramic views along the Thames. The meeting rooms include Foxtrot, the largest of all the meeting rooms at 165 sqm holding up to 200 guests for a reception. Other meeting rooms include Juliet, Echo, Bravo, Golf, Charlie and the smallest Alpha which is 25 sqm.

 A shuttle service will transport hotel guests and business guests to and from Clapham Junction train station and to Victoria station throughout the day at regular intervals.
