Indian Ocean opens new showroom at High Point, USA
Indian Ocean have announced the opening of new showroom space at High Point Market.
Located at 313 Space, the state-of-the-art showroom is situated within a meticulously restored historic mill in the heart of High Point, North Carolina, USA.
With a history of exporting to both interior designers and private clients in America, this new opening is the natural next step in Indian Ocean’s commitment to the US market.
As one of the most prestigious trade events in the furniture industry, High Point Market provides the perfect stage to unveil Indian Ocean’s latest outdoor collections alongside their designs.

Working with the most renowned interior designers in London and the USA, Indian Ocean occupy a niche position in the outdoor sector for boutique hotel and exceptional projects when only the best will do.
Established in 1990 with a passion for innovation, Indian Ocean design and make collections of luxury outdoor furniture using only the finest quality materials, finished to the highest specifications and focusing on every detail.
The arrival of Indian Ocean on the furniture design scene 35 years ago coincided with a shift in the way we design, use and view our outdoor living spaces. Design that links indoor with out, via a series of seamlessly flowing spaces, has become de rigueur, with Indian Ocean playing a part in this lifestyle change.

Founder, Jamie Hobbs first imported beautiful, oversized parasols from Madagascar, where his father was then the Honourary Consul. He followed this up with a complementary collection of Teak garden furniture and named the business Indian Ocean in homage to its primary inspiration.
Elegant, comfortable ‘heritage’ pieces remain part of the core collection. The modern quality surpasses the criteria for furniture destined for outdoors, successfully combining the pleasures of outdoor living with contemporary aesthetics. Edgy, contemporary designs to furnish a variety of outside spaces, including all outdoor accoutrements for modern outdoor living, all now form part of the collection.
“Our teak heritage pieces link to the traditions of the past, but we are constantly innovating for the future,” says Jamie. “We offer the most technically advanced fabrics, and designs which are inspiring and practical as well as totally comfortable and relaxing, enhancing our enjoyment of the great outdoors.”
