Vienna welcomes second Miiro hotel
Miiro Spittelberg has opened its doors, marking the group’s second property in Vienna.
Located in the city’s culturally vibrant Spittelberg district, the hotel brings together 132 guestrooms and suites where playful design meets effortless comfort, through warm, calming neutrals splashed with bold bursts of colour, layered with natural textures and soft, mood-setting lighting. Designed by Archisphere, each room channels Miiro’s local spirit with locally sourced artwork, cosy reading corners, plush bedding, Le Labo toiletries and rainfall showers. Blending sleek modern lines with creative details inspired by the energy of Vienna’s 7th District, the hotel provides everything needed to feel at home in the city.

At the heart of Miiro Spittelberg is Poco, an Italian-inspired urban pizzeria and bar where relaxed European café charm is blended with the pulse of a lively neighbourhood atmosphere, all to the soundtrack of live vinyls. Created by London restaurateurs Jake Bucknall and Jacob Stuttard, co-founders of D4100, Poco offers a menu of classics such as Margherita and Diavola alongside inventive creations like the SpittelBerg – with yellow tomato sauce, fior di latte, salsiccia, ‘nduja and caramelised onion. Beyond its acclaimed pizza, Poco thrives as a vibrant bar, featuring Spritz variations, aperitifs, cocktails, mocktails, and wines, including the Pisco Spritz and Agave Basil Smash.
Collaborating with internationally recognised contemporary artist Flow So Fly, Miiro Spittelberg presents a bold, immersive centrepiece. Known for his precise yet abstract black-and-white line work, this is the Vienna-based artist’s largest project to date. The hand-painted ceiling mural transforms the space into a captivating yet reflective environment, inviting visitors to engage with the narrative in each line. Drawing on a poetic sense of abstraction, the artwork encourages personal interpretation, highlighting the nuances of human relationships and the uniqueness of individual perception.

Beyond this central installation, the hotel features a thoughtfully curated collection of works by leading Austrian and international artists, including Christian Ludwig Attersee, Josef Mikl, Heimo Zobernig and Cornelius Kolig. Spanning the hotel’s public spaces, the collection celebrates Vienna’s artistic legacy, from post-war modernism and expressive abstraction to bold conceptual and experimental practices, creating a visual journey that resonates with the city’s contemporary creative spirit.
Additional amenities include a state-of-the-art 24/7 Gym, complete with high-end equipment from NOHRD. Meanwhile, the Refresh Room, a signature Miiro concept, comes with everything guests need to reset, recharge before check-in or after check-out. The space features showers, toiletries and changing spaces, with secure luggage storage for guests arriving before check-in.
Neena Gupta, CEO of Miiro and Executive Director of Group Strategy and International Hospitality at InterGlobe Enterprises comments: “The opening of Miiro Spittelberg marks an exciting milestone as we continue to grow Miiro in culturally rich European cities. Vienna’s artistic spirit and deep-rooted heritage make it a natural home for not just one but two of our properties, and the neighbourhood of Spittelberg in particular reflects the lively, local energy we seek to celebrate.”
