Aman has unveiled plans to open Amansanu in Texas Hill Country, marking the brand’s sixth property in the United States and introducing Aman’s first ranch-inspired retreat.

Derived from the Sanskrit words meaning “peaceful peak,” Amansanu is set within a landscape of rolling hills, limestone cliffs and winding creeks carved over millennia. Comprising a resort of standalone pavilions alongside a limited collection of fully serviced Aman-branded residences, the destination offers panoramic views stretching across vast valleys and rugged canyons. Each vantage point has been carefully considered to offer seclusion, privacy and a connection to nature.

Designed by Olson Kundig, Amansanu is a contemporary expression of the regional vernacular. The architecture has been conceived in quiet dialogue with the surrounding topography, with structures positioned to follow the contours of the land and frame expansive views across the valleys beyond.

Amenities across the destination will include a Main Lodge, several dining concepts and an expansive Aman Spa and Wellness Centre positioned along the resort’s natural creek. The resort will also feature racquet sports courts and extensive hiking trails, alongside Aman’s first fully serviced stables, offering the brand’s elevated interpretation of the contemporary ranch experience.

Complementing the resort experience will be a limited collection of Aman-branded residences, each set within expansive hillside sites starting at ten acres. Designed in harmony with the resort’s architectural vision, the residences feature open-plan living spaces, natural materials and expansive terraces that connect seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, ensuring exceptional privacy and uninterrupted views.

The destination brings a new dimension to Aman’s presence across continental North America, complementing the desert modernism of Amangiri, the mountain landscapes of Amangani and the urban sanctuary of Aman New York, while joining forthcoming projects including Amanvari on Mexico’s East Cape, Aman Beverly Hills and Aman Miami Beach.

“Aman’s presence in the United States, with Amangiri, Amangani and Aman New York, reflects our focus on creating rare sanctuaries in destinations defined by natural beauty and cultural depth,” comments Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group. “Texas Hill Country embodies these qualities, with rolling landscapes and an independent spirit which aligns closely with Aman’s philosophy. Amansanu represents a meaningful evolution for Aman in the Americas, introducing a new expression of the brand while preserving the peace, privacy and connection to its surroundings that defines each of our destinations.”
