Principessa, Forte dei Marmi, Autograph Collection, has officially opened its doors.
Conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the slow living typical of Versilia, the hotel blends the intimacy of a private villa with the DNA of Autograph Collection Hotels. Sitting in front of La Capannina on the Tuscan coast, it features just 36 rooms and suites with generous outdoor terraces.
The hotel’s architectural identity is one of its most defining features. Designed with fluid, sculptural lines inspired by the silhouette of a yacht moving toward the sea, the building establishes a continuous dialogue between interior spaces and the surrounding landscape, combining seaside and Apuan Alps.

Light flows freely throughout the property, bouncing across surfaces crafted from natural, regionally sourced materials, echoing the nuanced tones of the coastline, ivory, taupe, and the shifting hues of the dunes depending on the sun’s angle. Its artisanal production, achieved through meticulous waterjet cutting by local craftsmen, ensures a textured finish that is both refined and evocative of Forte dei Marmi’s natural beauty.
Principessa Forte dei Marmi, Autograph Collection is woven into the cultural fabric of Versilia, drawing inspiration from its artistic heritage and proximity to Pietrasanta, one of Italy’s most renowned centres for sculpture and marble craftsmanship. This relationship is expressed through collaborations with local artisans, the choice of materials and the hotel’s broader narrative, which honours both the rigor of Italian craftsmanship and the Riviera’s timeless aesthetic sensibility.
