Sanipex Group announces partnership with Tom Dixon

Sanipex Group has partnered with British design brand Tom Dixon, bringing the London studio’s distinctive approach to materials, manufacturing and form into its regional portfolio.

Founded in London in 2002 by self-taught designer Tom Dixon, lighting sits at the heart of the brand, led by best-sellers Melt and Whirl, with selected furniture and accessories extending the offer.

The partnership brings together Tom Dixon’s material-led design approach with Sanipex Group’s established showrooms, specification and project expertise. With 12 showrooms across the UAE, Sanipex Group provides the brand with a strong physical presence alongside its Retail, Trade, Project and Digital channels, making the collection accessible to designers, specifiers and retail clients through both display and project support.

Over three decades, Sanipex Group has developed a portfolio spanning bathrooms, kitchens, surfaces, lighting and outdoor living, supported by experience across residential, hospitality and commercial projects, including award-winning schemes in the region. This breadth provides a natural setting for Tom Dixon, whose work crosses lighting, furniture and accessories while maintaining a strong focus on material and how products are made.

“Tom Dixon brings a distinctive design perspective to our portfolio, particularly in the way the studio explores materials, manufacturing and form” says Daryl Barker, Founder and CEO, Sanipex Group. “The partnership is a strong fit for Sanipex Group, combining that creative approach with our showroom network, project experience and specification support to make the collection more accessible to clients across the region.”

Tom Dixon has grown into an international design brand represented in more than 90 countries. Its collections are shaped by an experimental approach to production, often using familiar materials and industrial processes in unexpected ways. This is particularly evident in the lighting portfolio, where surface, reflection and geometry become as important to the character of a piece as the light itself.

At the centre of the launch through Sanipex Group is Melt, one of Tom Dixon’s most recognisable collections. Its irregular form draws on molten glass, lava and materials in transformation. Blow-moulded polycarbonate is finished using vacuum metallisation, creating a highly reflective surface when the light is switched off that becomes translucent once illuminated. Available across chandeliers, pendants, wall, table, floor and portable lights, Melt uses its manufacturing process to create an effect that changes between daylight and illumination.

Lighting remains the principal focus of the Tom Dixon offer, but the partnership reaches beyond it. Groove, the brand’s first outdoor furniture collection, brings a distinctive ridged surface to aluminium dining chairs, tables and stools, extending Tom Dixon’s interest in manufacturing into the outdoor setting.

Accessories and tabletop pieces provide another point of entry into the collection, while selected indoor furniture is also being introduced as the partnership develops. Together, these categories allow designers to carry Tom Dixon’s approach to form and material through different areas of a project without shifting the emphasis away from lighting.

For Sanipex Group, this wider scope also reflects the way its showrooms and project teams work with specifications: bringing products from different categories together so materials, finishes, scale and function can be considered in relation to the complete space. Tom Dixon therefore joins the portfolio not as an isolated lighting offer, but as a design brand that contributes cohesively across categories, spanning both interior and outdoor applications.

“We are delighted to be working with Sanipex Group on this new chapter for the brand in the Middle East,” comments Tom Dixon, Founder and Creative Director, Tom Dixon. “Their established showroom presence and close relationships with the design and specification community give us a strong platform for the collection, and we look forward to developing the partnership together.”

The Tom Dixon collection is now available through Sanipex Group, with products available to explore online and through showroom displays across the UAE. Designers, specifiers and clients can view the collection in person and access product and specification support through Sanipex Group.
