MGallery Collection, Accor’s portfolio of storied boutique hotels, has announced the official opening of Financial City Chengdu – MGallery Collection, the newest address in Greater China.
Nestled in the heart of Chengdu Financial City, the hotel becomes the third MGallery property in Chengdu, enjoying a prime urban location at the crossroads of the city’s economic and urban energy.
Reflecting MGallery Collection’s philosophy, where every hotel is rooted in a meaningful story, destination and spirit, Financial City Chengdu – MGallery Collection brings the cultural character of Chengdu into a contemporary urban setting.
Designed by Australian design firm Stack Studio, the hotel’s aesthetic is inspired by the poetic imagery of Tang Dynasty poet Zhang Ji’s famous Song of Chengdu, evoking the whimsical beauty of ‘wandering into a hidden lychee grove’.

The design narrative begins on arrival, beneath the branches of a century-old local lychee tree rooted in the ground floor. Seven floors above, Sky Garden continues this journey upwards, unfolding as a lush rooftop garden where greenery, open air and the changing light of Chengdu create a quiet pause above the city.
The hotel offers 155 guestrooms and suites, intentionally designed to reflect the character of the city. Continuing the overall design narrative, the guestrooms translate the beauty of river mists, mountain fogs and crimson sunsets into contemporary living spaces.
For meetings and social events, the hotel features a multi-functional event space totalling approximately 480m2, highly adaptable for corporate gatherings, refined banquets and intimate private celebrations.

The hotel’s Fitness Centre features floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows opening onto an outdoor terrace, creating a bright and restorative space for guests to stay active and recharge.
In line with Accor’s global sustainability commitments, Financial City Chengdu – MGallery Collection integrates eco-conscious practices throughout its daily operations. Key initiatives include a comprehensive plastic-reduction program, smart in-room energy management and an energy-efficient building envelope featuring insulated Low-E glass curtain walls.

Backed by water-saving fixtures throughout the property, high-efficiency water-cooled magnetic-bearing chillers and LED lighting, the hotel empowers guests to enjoy a luxurious stay with a minimal environmental footprint.
“Chengdu’s rich cultural heritage and dynamic energy make it the perfect canvas for MGallery’s signature storytelling and bespoke guest experiences,” comments Kent Zhu, Chief Executive Officer of Accor Greater China. “Chengdu represents a vital anchor in Accor’s development strategy for Western China – a high-potential region where we have spent years cultivating deep partnerships and trusted brand equity. As the premium and luxury hospitality sector in Western China enters an era of unprecedented growth, Accor remains deeply committed to delivering innovative, culturally rich experiences that resonate with the evolving desires of today’s discerning travellers.”
