W Amsterdam to open September

W Hotels Worldwide will unveil its Dutch debut with the opening of W Amsterdam in September 2015.

Located in two of Amsterdam’s iconic buildings, the Exchange Building and KAS Bank, the hotel aims to connect visitors to the city’s history and culture as well as its vibrant social scene. The Exchange building, which previously housed the Royal Dutch Post Building, still displays the bold gold lines printed on the windows, whilst the KAS Bank’s heritage is retained in the maintenance of its high ceilings and original fixtures.

When complete, W Amsterdam will offer 238 guestrooms, including 23 suites, three WOW Suites and two Extreme WOW Suites as well as FIT fitness centre and Away Spa.

The hotel is set to create a new F&B scene with three distinctive destinations where guests can mix and mingle while enjoying an array of cuisine and drinks.

The rooftop W Lounge will offer signature cocktails with city views and upbeat music. While The Duchess and Mr. Porter by The Entourage Group, present elegant yet indulgent gastronomic experiences.

W’s reinterpretation of the traditional lobby, W Lounge, is located on the sixth floor of the Exchange Building and boasts 360 degree views of the city. The lounge will offer an original menu specially created by the Fabulous Shaker Boys providing a diverse selection of cocktails whilst music will be provided by a number of international DJs chosen by W Amsterdam’s Music Curator, Kristina Dolgova.

Mr. Porter, also set in the Exchange Building, offers a new rooftop dining experience featuring an open kitchen and extravagant cuisine, whilst The Duchess, set in the KAS Bank building, offers elegant dining, lunch and afternoon tea menus as well as a wide selection of vermouths, cocktails and champagnes. Blending the flavours of Southern France and Italy, the restaurant offers eclectic classics with fresh twists.
