Holiday Inn opens in Manchester
Situated in the heart of the city, the Hotel features interiors designed by Dexter Moren Associates that draw inspiration from the city’s cultural icons and rich industrial heritage.
The concept reflects a creative and flexible approach, with custom-made features combined with contemporary finishes and the latest technology.
The open plan lobby incorporates a reception, restaurant lounge and Starbucks café. Suites are named after famous local footballers, and function rooms after home-grown musicians. Guestrooms range from standard to luxury top-end suites.
The open Wi-Fi IT zones and meeting facilities are designed to attract guests as well as local residents and businesses. Meanwhile, the event facilities include 12 meeting rooms with a capacity of 140 delegates.
David Harte, Interior Designer at Dexter Moren Associates, comments: “There is a quote by the legendary Tony Wilson illuminated in neon lights on the ground floor reading ‘This is Manchester, we do things differently here’ and I think this perfectly sums up the significance of the city, the hotel brand, our approach and this particular design concept.”
