Viceroy announces Vietnam newbuild

Viceroy Hotel group has announced Viceroy Da Nang, a newbuild property set to be part of Vietnam’s forthcoming Cocobay entertainment hub.

Slated for a 2020 opening, the 700-key hotel will feature 8 restaurant, bar and lounge concepts, three ballrooms, a full-service spa, and swimming pools flanked by private cabanas. Located near the ancient town of Hoi An, and 20 minutes from Da Nang international airport, Viceroy Da Nang will take the form of a pair of towers adjoined at the top by a crystal bridge.

“This is Viceroy’s first foray into Asia’s most highly-anticipated market, which is being created from the ground up,” explains Anton Bawab, Regional President of Viceroy Hotel Group. “The mix of culture, nightlife and hospitality that will come to life here will solidify Viceroy Da Nang Vietnam as a must-visit destination.”

Set to be part of the planned Cocobay development – comprising a convention centre, opera house, sports arena, beach club, retail complex and nightlife and dining destinations – the hotel will provide a contemporary, luxury take on Asian hospitality amidst what is set to be the core of the country’s entertainment industry.

“We are immensely proud to partner with Empire Group on this remarkable venture,” says Bill Walshe, CEO of Viceroy Hotel Group. “As we forge new territory we are not just making an entrance. We are shaping a vision while creating a new groundbreaking destination.”

Bringing together forward thinking design with intuitive service and sought-after locations, Viceroy is guided by a mantra of ‘remember to live’. Forthcoming openings across it’s Icon, Lifestyle Series and Urban Resort collections include hotels in Chicago, Algarve, Buenos Aires, Istanbul, Panama, Cartagena, and Serbia.
