Studio Gaia launches Asia office

New York-based hospitality interior design firm Studio Gaia has announced the opening of its new Asia office in Seoul, South Korea.

Located in the district of Gangnam, the firm plans to secure interior design projects in Asia Pacific, with Senior Design Manager Seuk Hoon Kim appointed as Creative Director.

“As Studio Gaia was previously focusing more on North America and Latin America hospitality projects, this first international office of Studio Gaia in Seoul will be the new outpost to satisfy the fast-paced needs of Asia and Pacific market,” comments Seuk Hoon Kim.

Since it was founded in 1996, Studio Gaia has completed a number of hospitality projects around the world including W Hotel Mexico City and W Hotel Seoul; Dream Hotel Midtown New York; W Hotel Bogota; The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Herzliya Israel; Kiryat Anavim Spa Hotel Israel; and Busan Paradise Hotel in South Korea.

Studio Gaia has recently completed W Hotel Panama City, expected to open in January 2018, while designs are currently under way for properties in Washington DC, Turks and Caicos, Chile and South Korea.
