Ethimo unveils Agave

Italian furnishings brand Ethimo has unveiled Agave, a series of outdoor tables and chairs showcased at Hotel Parco dei Principi in Sorrento,  a property designed by the infamous Gio Ponti in 1962.

Drawing inspiration from the sinuous shapes of the Agave plant’s leaves, the solid teak collection is crafted from a combination of artisanship and innovative technology to recreate soft movements, thin profiles and a silky surface.

The sartorial workmanship of the wood reaches its maximum expression in the lounge armchair and in the dining chair, where the continuous effect between the seat and the backrest create a sinuous style in which the frame seems to be made from the material itself.

Ethimo’s choice of location is also a reference to the exclusivity of the collection, with Hotel Parco dei Principi becoming a stage in which the unique characteristics of Agave can be elevated and where the link between its design and the hotel’s architecture can be emphasised to confirm the feeling of casual elegance.

Reflecting the evolution of contemporary living, Agave interprets a new way of thinking about space between indoor and outdoor, exalting the living environment with style and refinement.
