Meininger Hotels announces plans for Liverpool
Reinforcing its aim for further growth in the UK, Meininger Hotels has announced its plans to open in Liverpool in spring 2021.
The new property will be situated on Union Court in the heart of the city, close to major cultural, architectural and culinary attractions and the famous Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool One and Tate Gallery. Converting an existing building, the hotel will comprise a lobby, reception, breakfast area, bar, lounge, game zone and 87 guestrooms spread across six floors.
Following the opening of Meininger Hotel London Hyde Park in 2006, this will be the group’s second hotel in the UK, with plans to open in Manchester in Q4 of 2021.
“There is no doubt that the UK capital is very popular with visitors, and we have had a 94% occupancy rate last year at our Hyde Park hotel,” says Hannes Spanring, CEO of Meininger Hotels. “The UK is very rich in attractive destinations with enormous development potential elsewhere too. We are therefore delighted to have signed the contract for a new Meininger Hotel in Liverpool.”
