Ultima Collection, luxury operator of hotels, residences and spas across Europe, has announced it will expand its portfolio with the addition of a new property in Corfu.

Scheduled to open its doors on 1 June 2020, Ultima Corfu is perched on a dramatic hillside overlooking the Ionian Sea.

The property will mark the brand’s first beachside residence, seeking to be a serene retreat for its guests.

Spread over 1,000m2 of land, the hotel will seamlessly blend the outdoor landscape with indoor spaces and will boast uninterrupted views of the coastline and sea.

Upon entry, guests will be greeted by a spacious living area decorated with Ultima Collection’s signature design and a monochromatic colour palette, allowing unspoilt views to take centre stage.

Two 20m sea-facing infinity pools will be the crowning feature of an expansive wraparound terrace.

Situated on separate tiers of the terrace, yet located only a few steps from each other, the pools offer guests the chance to socialise together or enjoy the peace and quiet.

The villa will also include two outdoor lounges and an al fresco dining area.

Set over two levels, allowing for multiple sea views, Ultima Corfu will sleep 14 guests in seven guestrooms, including one master bedroom with a private terrace. Each will feature en-suite bathrooms and dressing rooms.

Ornate Grecian features and materials will adorn the white interiors, subtly decorated with a typical Mediterranean colour palette.

Other features of the hotel include a fully equipped fitness studio, hammam, Jacuzzi, and spa facilities.

One of the highlights at Ultima Corfu will be unrestricted access to the villa’s 24m yacht, Ultima Beach, available for guests to charter as they wish during their stay.

Manned by one captain and one steward, the yacht will have space for 12 guests at one time for day trips, and seven for overnight trips in one twin, one pullman and two double master cabins.

The boat comes fully equipped with Ultima-standard mod cons, air-conditioning, and sea toys, such as snorkelling equipment and a Zodiac Tender 3.80.

The launch of Ultima Corfu will mark the sixth property in the Ultima Collection, which currently includes luxury ski hotels and residences in the Alps, and a new urban retreat on the shores of Lake Geneva.
