Haycock Manor Hotel to launch in June 2021

Following an extensive restoration of the Grade II-listed building, Haycock Manor Hotel is set to launch on 22 June 2021. Located in the heart of Cambridgeshire, it is one of the oldest surviving hotels in England and will launch as a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts L.V.X. Collection and Pride of Britain this Summer.

The first phase of the opening will see its 49 guestrooms unveiled alongside two restaurants and bar and lounge, while the second phase – to be completed in August – will comprise a cookery school and farm shop and early in 2022, the property – dating back to 1571 – will launch a luxury spa and riverside glamping.

“The Haycock has a proud history of welcoming guests for over 450 years but the guest experience we are creating now combines that wonderful history with luxury finishes and the latest smart technology,” says General Manager Tom Wortley. “Our team have been tasked with making the Haycock one of the finest hotels and food destinations in the East of England and they have the skills, experience and drive to achieve it.”

The bedrooms are divided into clusters with classic doubles, garden classics, feature rooms, junior suites or master suites. Each has its own identity, but it is in the feature rooms and suites that the property’s history has been brought to life – beams have been exposed, while restored Elizabethan fireplaces and walls are complemented by roll-top baths, four-posted beds, statement tiles and opulent colour schemes.

Ahead of the spa launch in 2022, wellness will be weaved into all elements of the guest experience from the outset. An advanced fitness suite will provide escapism for those looking to undertake an intensive workout or calm stretch, with Yoga mats available in bedrooms, while electric bikes, canoes and paddleboards will allow visitors to explore the elements of the River Nene, which runs directly through the hotel’s estate.
