Mondrian Singapore Duxton Suite

Mondrian makes Southeast Asian debut

Mondrian Singapore Duxton has officially opened its doors, marking the brand’s debut in Southeast Asia. Bringing a blend of art, glamour and culinary flair to the Duxton Hill neighbourhood, Mondrian Singapore Duxton rises above the historic Chinatown shophouses to offer sweeping views of the city.

Comprising 302 guestrooms and suites, four F&B venues and a rooftop pool, the new opening brings an array of vibrant experiences to the neighbourhood. Designed by LA-based Studio Carter, the resort’s interiors draw inspiration from the heritage conservation area’s unconventional architecture and rich culture, designed around the notion of a ‘deconstructed shophouse chic’.

When it comes to food and beverage, a restaurant, cocktail bar, café and rooftop restaurant and bar combine historic influences from Singapore with contemporary touches. Flagship dining experience Bottega di Carna is a modern Italian eatery with an open kitchen, while tropical cocktail bar Jungle Ballroom, accessed via a secret tunnel, celebrates the vibrancy and wild nature of the hotel’s location. Meanwhile, Christina’s is a relaxed spot for coffee by day, and a venue for wine, cocktails and sharing plates by night. Finally, at Canyon Club, a rooftop bar and poolside cabanas channel the glamour of 1970s Hollywood, surrounded by views of the Singapore skyline.

Commenting on the opening, General Manager Robert Hauck says: “I see Mondrian becoming the beating heart of this extraordinary city, a catalyst to forge connections with like-minded people, innovators and the wild at heart.”
