Mandarin Oriental Zurich Guestroom

Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich opening winter 2023

Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich will open its doors in winter 2023, following a full multi-million-dollar renovation.

Founded by Johannes Baur in 1838, the property was at the time Zurich’s first grand hotel. Now, it has been redesigned by Paris-based Tristan Auer, who has opted to fuse the building’s historical details with more modern touches throughout.

Many of the hotel’s 44 rooms and 36 suites include balconies, terraces or private rooftops, while a 275m² four-bedroom apartment is also available for those seeking a larger space. Interiors across guestrooms spotlight a colour palette that mirrors the hotel’s surroundings, as well as unique touches like hand-painted silk wallpapers.

Mandarin Oriental Zurich Restaurant

Four food and beverage venues will find home in the new Mandarin Oriental hotel, including fine-dining Italian restaurant Orsini, French-inspired Savoy Brasserie & Bar, a Mandarin Lounge and a new 1838 rooftop bar, serving up Asian cuisine.

Additional amenities include a grand ballroom, which has been restored to its former glory with authentic stucco and high ceilings.
