Elementae by Ariostea

Ariostea offers new possibilities for expression with Elementae

Ariostea has revealed Elementae, a ceramic solution that utilises Iris Ceramica Group’s Full Body3 technology to create a versatile material that offers design freedom in hospitality settings.

With custom elements like counters, integrated seating or vanity tops defining the character of a space, finding materials capable of creating an architecture that generates a comfortable and fulfilling guest experience from wall coverings to furniture, indoors to outdoors, can present a significant design challenge.

Elementae’s porcelain stoneware is ‘full-body’, so-called due to its single, homogeneous body with no distinction between its surface and thickness. This transforms it into a material that can be worked, cut and finished like natural stone, but with all the performance advantages of porcelain stoneware. As such, ceramic becomes a tool available to interior designers and planners, offering new possibilities for expression.

Creating furnishings such as tabletops, shower trays or staircases with exposed edges that are perfectly consistent with the flooring thus finds a tailored solution that combines beauty with functionality. The result is a surface that is resistant to scratches and scuffs, easy to sanitise and unalterable over time, capable of withstanding the stresses of high-traffic areas.

With its six neutral tones – lumen, tellus, pluvia, aere, sabula, and labi – the Elementae palette is designed to build atmospheres and create enveloping environments. Design freedom is facilitated by the variety of sizes – 120×120, 120×60, and 60x60cm – and surface finishes – natural plus, flamed, and structured – which help to modulate light, touch and the perception of space, while the Stilo Decor adds a rhythmic pattern for wall applications.

Elementae’s 20mm thick CM2 outdoor version allows the same material to be extended beyond the threshold, dissolving the boundaries between indoor and outdoor. With its antislip (R11) surface and installation flexibility – dry or traditional – it ensures visual continuity and safety performance on terraces, pool areas and common spaces.

Elementae presents itself as a system at the service of the designer. Surfaces for creating durable, coherent, and stimulating architecture, where every detail, from the floor to custom furniture, speaks the same language.
