Global sanitaryware supplier Grohe has launched the Essence ceramics collection, marking its first-ever offering of complete and co-ordinated bathroom solutions. Pared back to its essentials to deliver a simplistic aesthetic, the series blends soft curves inspired by organic forms with a slim and sculptured profile.
The range comprises three sizes of vanity basins, a selection of toilets, and bathtubs in three different styles: back to wall, built-in and freestanding. Each product within the Essence range also benefits from the advanced technologies of Grohe PureGuard, fitted as standard, which promotes superior hygiene and a long-lasting surface finish.
The Essence bathtubs are at the core of the collection; made from high-quality titanium steel that stores heat for an extended period of time, the bathtubs add a touch of luxury while offering practical, family-friendly add-ons such as a unique textured surface that with an increased slip resistance, and an EasyClean water-repellent coating reduce maintenance times.
Meanwhile, Essence’s range of toilets feature a rimless design as standard, meaning the smooth surface and edges of the bowl are free from bacteria. The toilets also benefit from water-conscious flush systems, with the large flush requiring only 4.5 litres of water, and the small flush using just three litres of water. To ensure a long-lasting Alpine White finish, Grohe has enhanced all of its ceramic toilets with a PureGuard hygiene coating, an anti-stick coating and anti-bacterial glazing. This prevents the build-up of dirt and limescale, whilst anti-bacterial ions within the coating itself stop the development of new bacteria.
Completing the collection are three sizes of vanity basins, which feature ceramic drain caps and an overflow repositioned to sit opposite the tap, or in some cases removed altogether. The Essence collection can be paired with Grohe’s existing lines, including the Atrio, Essence, Plus and Lineare brassware ranges, and the Euphoria SmartControl shower system and shower trays.
