Rosewood Hotel Group has announced a 17 March opening date for Rosewood Hong Kong, a 322-key, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates-designed property on the site of the former Holt’s Wharf and New World Centre.
Offering views of the city’s famous harbour in over 80% of guestrooms, the hotel will feature 8 dining concepts including a Chinese teahouse, Holt’s Café, the regional Cantonese Legacy House, and the ambient DarkSide cocktail bar. Rosewood Hong Kong will also host the first urban outpost of Asaya, the brand’s signature wellness offering. Landscaped lawns and terraces, meanwhile, are designed by Tony Chi.
Starting at 52m² guestrooms and suites – at a minimum of 92m² – are instilled with accents of residential detailing and curated art. Elsewhere, 18 signature suites, including the 1,000m² Harbour House and Garden House – both with wraparound harbour views and private sky terraces – offer private lap pools and private gyms. On the 40th floor sits the Manor Club, a new iteration of Rosewood’s signature club space, serving food and beverages through the day and housing a games room and pool table amongst other amenities.
Meeting and event space totalling 3,200m² will be enhanced by a private garden venue overlooking the water, whilst a 1,000m² pillar-less ballroom and the exclusive Pavilion space will be joined by the 118m² The Orangery and its over covered terrace.
“As the ultra-luxury hospitality jewel of Victoria Dockside and also the latest and most comprehensive expression of my vision for the Rosewood brand, Rosewood Hong Kong will play an important role in the future narrative of Hong Kong and for the group,” comments Sonia Cheng, CEO of Rosewood Hotel Group. “The hotel’s creative, innovative and distinctive offerings will bring new vibrancy to Hong Kong, establishing a compelling destination within Tsim Sha Tsui and the Kowloon waterfront and adding an important new and differentiated voice to the city’s luxury arena.”
