The AHEAD Americas deadline for entries has been extended to 28 February, allowing hotels, designers and operators in the region an extra month to submit their projects. Following this, the shortlist will be announced on 31 March, with the awards taking place on 28 June at Perez Art Museum in Miami.

Projects completed in the Americas between September 2015 and December 2016 will be considered for categories including Bar, Club or Lounge, Renovation & Restoration, and Lobby & Public Spaces, as well as new categories recognising visual identity and new concept of the year.

Each project can enter more than one category and will be assessed by a handpicked judging panel of hoteliers, architects, interior designers and industry commentators, with winners going on to compete at the global AHEAD biennale to decide an overall winner in 2019. Tickets for AHEAD Americas are available now from the AHEAD website, with the price including food and drinks throughout the evening.
