New London Awards open for entries

There are just five days to go to submit your projects to the New London Awards (NLA) which recognise the very best in architecture, planning and development in the capital.

New and proposed projects across all sectors of the built environment are eligible and will be judged by an eminent international jury.

The jury will once again be looking for schemes of the highest design quality that demonstrate a positive impact on their surroundings and make a wider contribution to life in the city.

The winners from across 15 categories will be selected by an international panel of architecture and urban design experts. Winners will be announced on 7 July at NLA’s Annual Lunch at The Guildhall and will feature in the NLA galleries at The Building Centre alongside all shortlisted schemes, and in a special publication.

The awards will be looking at hotels, restaurants and bars that enhance the leisure offer for tourists, business people and Londoners staying in the capital. Sleeper is the media partner for the Hotels and Hospitality category and the winning project from last year was Chiltern Firehouse, Archer Humphryes Architects for Andre Balazs, Hotels AB, Manhattan Loft Corporation & The Portman Estate (pictured).

Two special new accolades will be awarded in celebration of NLA’s 10th anniversary year – The ten best buildings of the last ten years and the Mayor’s Special Award for the best project that creatively contributes to the capital’s economy.

Submission deadline is 24 April 2015. For full details and an entry form click here.
