The future of successful real estate investment lies with better alignment between owner and occupier. While many sectors of operational real estate – the fastest growing area of property investment – have been devastated by the Covid-19 pandemic, it paradoxically remains the future.

As such, this year’s Operational Real Estate Festival (OPRE) has been transformed into the virtual Real Estate Tomorrow (RET) conference, which will take place on Tuesday 16 June.

“In the online world, it is clear that content is king and Real Estate Tomorrow will too deliver a programme fit for royals. We have worked hard to ensure this is so much more than a webinar,” says Andrew Sangster, co-founder of Real Estate Tomorrow and Editorial Director of Hotel Analyst. “Networking is critical to enable the lead generation that creates the value in live events.”

RET will cover the many sectors of real estate, from healthcare, senior living and student accommodation to pubs, restaurants and flex office space, not to mention emerging residential such as co-living, leisure property, and hospitality. And it is the latter segment that is cutting across areas of operational real estate as property investment becomes ‘hotelised’. It is at this cutting edge where RET is focused; the interface where new opportunities are emerging in real estate investment.

Key speakers taking part include Duncan Owen, Global Head of Real Estate at Schroders; Martijn Vos, Director at APG; and Andrew Ovey, Head of Healthcare at AXA Investment Managers. The trio are being joined by hundreds of other major investors in real estate, who are being invited to attend free.

Jonathan Worsley, co-founder of RET and Chairman of Bench Events, comments: “Our event is much more than a webinar, we have created an online experience that enables attendees to effectively network as well as learn.”

Investors can apply for a complimentary pass – typically priced at 200 – via the RET website.
