The Hotel Show Dubai returns for 21st edition

The Hotel Show has announced its return, live and in-person, from 31 May – 2 June 2021 at Dubai World Trade Centre. Under this year’s theme, ‘Redefining Hospitality’, the three-day event will offer industry professionals in the Middle East a platform from which to source, connect and learn about critical topics.

A notable feature of the show will be HITEC Dubai, the world largest and oldest technology exposition and conference brand, organised by Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP). Bringing together the brightest minds and latest technologies from across the globe to one placer, the unique programme will look to educate operators and management companies in better serving guests and maximising their loyalty.

The vision for 2021 is to present attendees with a forum for addressing the most relevant challenges and needs in the region, with a particular focus on emerging technology trends. HITEC Dubai will give Middle Eastern buyers, currently valued at over USD 75 billion, access to the latest systems and products that are breaking new ground. This source of knowledge and information exchange is vital at a time when the coronavirus pandemic presents a radical inflection point for the industry, of which the entire effects are still not clear. The show will also offer an environment for one-to-one, in-person business meetings.

“The global hospitality industry is on a fast-path toward recovering from the impacts of the past year and hospitality technology solutions are integral to the strategies for welcoming back guests and filling rooms,” says Frank Wolfe, CEO – HFTP. “We are seeing the acceleration of technology for revenue management, cleaning tools such as robotics, remote check-in, room entry, guest communication and so much more. Bringing HITEC Dubai to The Hotel Show presents a tremendous opportunity to showcase hotel technology expertise to its delegates who are seeking holistic approaches to apply to their properties.”

Sanjay Nadkarni, Director of Innovation and Research at Emirates Academy, one of the host chapter members of HFTP, adds: “Covid-19 presented the travel industry with a seismic inflection point, the like of which has never been seen before. As we recalibrate into 2021, HFTP is committed to offering hoteliers the latest tools, insights and solutions required to support recovery across a number of channels. Technology is a fundamental part of a hotel’s value proposition and also importantly, helps operators maintain health and safety standards. We are therefore delighted that HITEC Dubai will be such a large feature of The Hotel Show in 2021, providing a relevant source of knowledge and opportunity for information exchange to all who visit.”

Jasmeet Bakshi, Group Event Director of The Hotel Show – organised by dmg events – furthers: “We are delighted that The Hotel Show Dubai will make its return after the challenges of 2020. The latest technology advancements are a vital tool in helping the industry get back on its feet after an incredibly testing time and we are very much looking forward to showcasing the latest innovations to our valued colleagues.”

The Hotel Show Dubai is visited by suppliers of products, technology and services that cater to the global hospitality sector across interiors, lighting and design, technology, security, kitchen and laundry, and more.
