Adẹ̀kọ́ & Co strengthens senior leadership team

London-based interior architecture and design studio Adẹ̀kọ́ & Co has appointed Nicholas Black as Head of Projects, strengthening the studio’s senior leadership team as it expands its international hospitality and residential portfolio.

With over 30 years’ experience delivering complex hospitality, wellness and residential schemes across the UK and internationally, Black joins at a pivotal moment as multiple projects progress into technical delivery and on-site coordination. He brings deep operational expertise, combining programme leadership with technical oversight to support design intent through to completion.

Black joins from senior positions at RPW Design, Alison Henry Design and Richmond International, where he led multidisciplinary teams across new builds, major refurbishments and listed property developments.

Across his career, Black has contributed to projects including the Waldorf Hilton, London; the Caledonian Hilton, Edinburgh; the Sheraton Palace Hotel, Moscow; Luttrellstown Castle Golf Club House, Dublin; the Kempinski Hotel, Prague; The Langham, London; the InterContinental Manchester, Manchester; The Shelbourne, Dublin; the Grand Hotel, Amsterdam; the Norfolk Hotel, Nairobi; and The Peninsula, Hong Kong, among others.

A member of CSD, with an advanced diploma in environmental design, Black will oversee projects across RIBA-aligned stages. His expertise spans architectural interior design, technical coordination, contract administration and project management, ensuring creative ambition is supported by structure, clarity and commercially sound delivery.

At Adẹ̀kọ́ & Co, Black will lead project programming, consultant coordination and delivery strategy across the Studio’s growing global pipeline, reinforcing the commitment to design-led thinking delivered with technical rigour and accountable leadership.
