Dennis Irvine to join Richmond International as Director

Dennis Irvine will join London-based hospitality design specialists Richmond International in September 2021 as a Director, working with the firm’s longstanding client partners including the likes of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, The Langham Hospitality Group and Raffles Hotels.

Prior to joining Richmond International, Irvine founded and led Dennis Irvine Studio. As well as leading his own practice, Irvine has also previously worked for several renowned London design studios, spearheading international projects from concept to completion. He has delivered worldwide luxury projects ranging from wellness spas, private residences and super yachts, to restaurants and hotels for operators both renowned and independent – resulting in an award at AHEAD Europe. Clients have included Marriott Luxury Collection, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Raffles Hotels & Resorts, The Dorchester Collection and Waldorf Astoria Hotels.

“With Dennis on the team, we have the opportunity to refresh and revitalise our outlook and approach to our forthcoming projects,” says Fiona Thompson, Principal at Richmond International. “He brings with him a new energy, invaluable expertise and a different set of experiences that will bolster our existing design team. Dennis will be instrumental in continuing to shape and evolve our projects creating long-lasting and relevant design.”

“Dennis and I have known each other within the industry for years and first discussed him joining the team over a year ago, so we’re delighted he’s onboard. We’re looking forward to working together, back in our Richmond International offices too.”

Irvine comments: “I’ve always shared a design ethos with Fiona and the team at Richmond International, with a focus on authenticity, honesty and creating design that endures, so being part of this studio feels like a very natural fit. Richmond International has already established a legacy through its work but I’m delighted to be part of pushing that forward even further.”
