Guy Heywood joins Habitas as CEO of Hotels

Experience-led hospitality brand Habitas has appointed Guy Heywood as CEO Hotels. A seasoned industry expert and experienced operator, Heywood will oversee all of the group’s current and future properties.

Heywood joins Habitas from his previous role as the Chief Operating Officer at Six Senses Hotel Resorts Spas. Prior to joining Six Senses, he spent eight years as COO for Alila Hotels and Resorts and before that took charge of the US & Americas portfolio for Aman. Heywood’s 30-year hospitality career also includes informative roles and leadership positions at the likes of InterContinental, The Regent, Four Seasons.

Habitas’ growth includes six additional properties due to open in 2022 and an additional 20 projects in the pipeline. Since launching its flagship home in Tulum in 2017, the brand has landed in Bacalar, Mexico and Saudi Arabia’s AlUla region, with plans also underway for new locations in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Bhutan.
