Jese Medina-Suarez launches Spatium design studio

Following an illustrious career working with renowned design firms such as Foster+Partners, Wilson Associates, John McAslan and Bates Smart, Jese Medina-Suarez has established his own design studio Spatium (pronounced /Spejʃiəm/).

Born in the heart of Paris in early 2024 and officially spreading its wings in Dubai shortly after, the boutique design studio seeks to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation across the world. Medina-Suarez describes the firm as “more than just a space agency; we are an inventive storyteller, a creator of memories”.

Specialising in crafting spaces, products and brands that are tailor-made, Spatium will carefully navigate the boundaries of convention to curate bespoke solutions for high-profile businesses. With a diverse background encompassing luxury hotels, restaurants, residences and airplanes, Spatium will bring a wealth of cross-cultural influences and expertise to its designs.

“Success for us isn’t just a project completion; it’s the profitability of our clients and the emotions we manage to evoke in satisfied guests,” comments Medina-Suarez. “Armed with a deep understanding of construction, we bring our ideas to life within the embrace of financial expectations. In a world dominated by social media, we’re not just designers; we aim to be creators of experiences worthy of the online spotlight.

“We understand that today’s guests seek visually captivating spaces, and so we embark on a journey to craft environments that not only elevate satisfaction but also generate visual equity, ensuring our clients shine in the virtual realm as well as in the physical world. Welcome to our ‘Spatium’.”
