JMJ and YOO form partnership

JMJ Development and Yoo have formed a partnership, with plans to build multiple projects in North and South America. The combination of both companies creates a powerhouse in the upscale development and design community.

Yoo was co-founded in 1999 by international entrepreneur John Hitchcox and world-renowned designer Philippe Starck. Meanwhile, JMJ Development, founded in 1990 by Tim Barton, focuses on high-end hospitality and luxury developments as well as community projects and master-planned communities, including Rosewood Mayakoba in Reveria Maya, Mexico.

According to Barton, JMJ and Yoo will be announcing projects in the near future: “The main reason we see value in the partnership with Yoo is that it was founded by John Hitchcox and Philippe Starck,” exclaimed JMJ’s Chief Executive Officer and President. “They are among the finest names in business and design, and Yoo has a long and distinguished history in the boutique hotel industry.”
