Rosewood Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Soo Jeong Lee to Vice President of Design, overseeing the European, Middle Eastern, and African regions.

Lee joined Rosewood Hotel Group in 2017 as the Senior Corporate Director of Design, a role she held for over five years in Rosewood’s corporate headquarters in Hong Kong.

In her new role based out of the brand’s growing Amsterdam office, she will lead the design team in the EMEA region, providing guidance on the implementation of Rosewood’s design standards and overseeing the design vision for all projects and renovations accordingly. In addition to her institutional and industry knowledge, Lee brings vast leadership experience to her new role, with previous career highlights including time as Head of Design Development for Asia Pacific at Chanel and Senior Interior Designer at Yabu Pushelberg.

Lee’s promotion is one of several new leadership appointments within Rosewood Hotel Group. The ultra-luxury hospitality company also announced that Priya Kapoor has joined the company as Vice President of Digital, where she will oversee digital, eCommerce, and customer experience across all group brands – Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, New World Hotels & Resorts, KHOS, Carlyle & Co., and Asaya. She will work across the commercial, brand, and IT segments to elevate Rosewood’s existing digital experience, support digital’s growth into new areas such as eCommerce, and optimise and tailor consumer journeys from online to offline.

Simon Gilkes, former Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Rosewood Hong Kong, has also been promoted to Senior Director of Commercial, overseeing the European, Middle Eastern, African, and Caribbean regions.

In his new position, he will be responsible for the overall implementation of sales, distribution, and revenue management initiatives to maximise performance in the EMEAC region and drive financial results for the portfolio. Gilkes has over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing in the hospitality industry and, prior to joining Rosewood, held impactful roles with SBE Hotels in London, The Savoy Hotel in London and The St. Regis New York, among others.
