Streetsense appoints new Principal

Streetsense, a strategy and design collective dedicated to creating meaningful experiences, has announced that Duk Kim has joined its growing team as a Principal and Practice Group Leader for Interior Architecture.

Kim brings 20 years of global design experience to Streetsense and will be instrumental as the firm elevates its experiential architecture and design services around the world.

Kim comes to Streetsense from The Gettys Group, where he was a Principal and Managing Director. While concentrating on a larger strategic role for The Gettys Group’s global design practice, Kim also successfully led the design and management of notable and award-winning hospitality, entertainment, and residential projects throughout the world. Prior to The Gettys Group, Kim held senior design positions with well-known firms such as Perkins+Will and Lucien Lagrange Architects.

Brian Taff, COO at Streetsense, commented: “Duk’s background in architecture and his unique experience in global design, along with his understanding of how true collaboration contributes to delivering unique and meaningful experiences, makes him the perfect fit to elevate Streetsense’s commitment to experience design thinking. We’re thrilled to have him join the Streetsense collective.”

Kim has a Bachelor’s degree in architectural studies from the University of Illinois and his Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan. He is also accredited by the American Institute of Architects, is a LEED-accredited professional, and served as an instructor at the Illinois Institute of Art.
