The Gettys Group appoints Serene Lee

The Gettys Group has announced a new strategic leadership structure for their Hong Kong studio and Asia-Pacific/China practice.

Gettys’ veteran Duk J. Kim will assume the role of Managing Director and Serene Lee will serve as Regional Director. Together, they will spearhead Getty’s regional initiatives for further growth and continued excellence.

Kim has led the design and management of numerous hospitality and gaming projects throughout the world, while also managing aspects of the firm’s global operations. Kim will continue to serve Gettys’ clients while concentrating on a larger strategic role for the Asia-Pacific, Greater Asia, China and Middle East regions. Kim will work with the Regional and Studio Directors with an emphasis on design excellence, enhanced project delivery and a firm commitment to growth within the regions.

Lee brings strong leadership along with a wealth of industry experience in the hospitality sector to Gettys. She was formerly the Regional Managing Director of DiLeonardo’s Greater Asia Practice, and prior to that, held the position of Regional Director of Interiors at HOK. At Gettys, she will manage the day-to-day operations of the Hong Kong office, while mentoring the team, and further enhancing design excellence and astute project delivery to Gettys’ clients within the region.

“We are thrilled to have Ms. Lee join us at Gettys to help lead our Hong Kong office and the markets it serves,” comments Duk Kim, Managing Director of Gettys’ office in Hong Kong. “There is a tremendous amount of opportunity and I’m excited by the prospect that our leadership and our talented designers have to offer in providing uniquely memorable experiences to the clients we service.”
