Actiu TNK 500 Aurea

Actiu unveils TNK 500 Aurea

Actiu has unveiled TNK 500 Aurea, the evolution of one of its most renowned chairs.

The new version incorporates an aluminium structure in its catalogue, a technical advance that reinforces the durability, lightness and stability of the seat, as well as introducing new metallic finishes in bronze, titanium and copper, which give the piece a sculptural and sophisticated character.

At the intersection of precision engineering and contemporary design sensibility, TNK 500 Aurea is the natural evolution of Actiu’s TNK 500 line, which – with a legacy of more than fifteen years – has become synonymous with advanced ergonomics, reliability and timeless aesthetics through a reinterpretation that elevates operational comfort to the category of functional art.

The TNK 500, designed by Alegre Design, marked a milestone in Actiu’s history by consolidating an operational chair model based on advanced ergonomics and precision engineering. With Aurea, the Alicante-based brand updates icons with more noble materials, a more refined aesthetic and the same reliability that has characterised the line since its inception.

Inspired by the concept of universal balance, TNK 500 Aurea is conceived as an ode to perfectly proportioned design. The carefully crafted aluminium gives it a more contemporary look and defines a structure that is both solid and lightweight.

Every line of the backrest and every structural joint responds to an aesthetic logic that fuses form and function. Aurea does not impose itself on the space, but rather dialogues with it, integrating naturally thanks to its balanced  proportions.

On a functional level, Aurea maintains the ergonomic features that distinguished the TNK 500, with its intelligent backrest automatically adapting to the user’s movements, ensuring continuous lumbar support and a healthy posture.

With TNK 500 Aurea, Actiu reaffirms its commitment to designing innovative and sustainable solutions, where engineering, comfort and aesthetics combine to improve the seating experience in line with the brand’s Life-Friendly Spaces philosophy, which seeks to create more lively, human, conscious and collaborative spaces.

Life-Friendly Spaces aspires to create purposeful spaces that improve ecosystems through the use of sustainable materials and circular processes, that care for physical, mental and social health, that are committed to taking all users into account and that configure hybrid environments with diverse solutions.

“The TNK 500 marked a turning point in the history of Actiu,” explains Soledat Berbegal, Director and Head of Brand Reputation at Actiu. “It marked the beginning of a new era in which ergonomics, innovation and design became the fundamental pillars of our brand. With Aurea, we are continuing along this path, applying new technologies and materials to offer a more human and friendly experience, with a more emotional language that is more precise and more connected to people’s well-being.”
