Bang & Olufsen has introduced Beosound A1 – the second-generation of the brand’s portable Bluetooth speaker.
Updated to include a number of performance and design improvements, Beosound A1 features built-in Alexa voice control, which is a world first for a Bluetooth-only speaker.
The product comes with a refined, slimmer design that has dust and waterproof properties; significantly improved battery life with up to 18 hours of play time; and an overhauled user interface.
With the fully integrated Alexa voice assistant, hotel guests will be able to access music, phoning facilities and internet browsing with ease.
Alexa can be activated from up to five metres away depending on room conditions and can remain responsive for up to three hours after being switched off.
Beosound A1 also includes IP67 certification, which means it is resistant to water ingress up to one metre for 30 minutes and is safe from sand and dirt. Such qualities ensure that the speaker is suitable for use poolside.
