B&B Italia announce Tufty-Time ‘15
In celebration of Tufty-Time’s 10th birthday, B&B Italia has announced a new collection of one of its best-selling seating systems named Tufty-Time ’15.
In 2005, designer Patricia Urquiola said: “I wanted to take a new look at the Capitonné and Chesterfield styles, with a special emphasis on the reinterpretations of 60s and 70s, which I love.” This resulted in the creation of Tufty-Time, a product that takes designs from the past and revitalises them for modern audiences.
Tufty-Time ’15’s distinctive feature is a new formal solution for the textile version, which features large squares that are joined by pleats, for a contemporary and elegant look.
The starting point of Tufty-Time ’15 is the ottoman, the basic unit that can be joined by central, corner and terminal elements to create traditional linear sofas, corner sofas, peninsula-shaped compositions and island units for a 360degree angle. Armrest height can also be adjusted and covers removed for a versatile look.
