Carnegie reveals five new designs

The Carnegie Creative Studio, under the leadership of Creative Executive VP Heather Bush, has developed five new designs for its Xorel line, titled Antoinette, Brigitte, Coco, Colette and Moire.

Xorel is the result of a research and development process that began in 2012, exploring the ways to achieve a fully metallic look in Xorel fabrics. The collection has been developed through a heat and pressure process to embellish the fabric with thin layers of gold, silver, copper and rose gold.

The new collection will include offerings from Carnegie’s Biobased Xorel line, which is the world’s first plant-based high-performance interior textile. Independently vetted, third-party certifications include Cradle to Cradle Gold, SCS Indoor Advantage Gold, USDA Certified and Vincotte. The Xorel line will aim to deliver a solution for modern, demanding interiors by combining luxurious design and high performance.

Bush comments: “We looked at haute couture garments closely for creative uses and techniques for Xorel. We were inspired by the way the chosen fabric was manipulated and embellished in coming up with this totally new aesthetic direction for Xorel.”
