Expormim unveils Meridies collection
Expormim has released its new outdoor collection, Meridies, crafted by Italian designer Roberto Lazzeroni.
Inspired by rattan yet made from FSC sapele wood, Meridies consists of sculptural designs that centre craftmanship, with careful attention to detail to replicate the silhouettes that rattan makes possible thanks to its natural plasticity.
Meaning ‘midday’ in Latin, as well as a cool, shady place one can rest during the hottest hours of the day, Meridies takes further inspiration from natural elements such as petals, seeds or leaves, reinforcing the idea of softness and lightness.
Lazzeroni’s designs prioritise comfort, providing broad, generous padded seating and semicircular backrests with cushions. The collection also includes a set of side tables made of ceramic and travertine.
The Meridies collection seeks to offer versatility, conceived to bridge the gap between indoor and outdoor spaces.
