In celebration of what would have been Vico Magistretti’s 100th birthday, Fritz Hansen has reissued the Vico Duo chair.

Magistretti designed Vico Duo in 1997, sitting amongst his sketches in Fritz Hansen’s design department.

The stackable product is simple, led by clear lines. A loose ‘Z’ drawn across paper inspired its backwards armrests, and these, along with the back legs, are made of a single piece of steel.

“The chair was, from the beginning, a true collaboration between Fritz Hansen and Vico Magistretti,” comments Christian Andresen, the brand’s Head of Design.

“By 1997, Magistretti was confident and relaxed in his practice and career. The design has a kind of simple ease and strength that reflects that.”
