Harlequin celebrate English countryside with Poetica collection
The range is vintage with modern accents, highlighted by sparkle and shimmering mica contrasts. The whimsical prints include botanical studies of daffodils, magnolias, poppies, tress in silhouette, grasses and ferns, drawn with a lightness of hand and tinted watery hues.
They are accompanied by a distressed look, textured printed plain and a selection of enchanting embroideries, embellished weaves, floaty linen voiles and attractive appliques.
The innovative wallcoverings are big on texture, they have a light, airy feel, encompassing effects such as limed wood, crackle glaze and brown paper, which form the backdrop to the delicate botanical motifs.
Poetica is enhanced by an appropriately delicate colour palette, which is predominantly white, with neutrals and nuances of soft, limed pastels. The prints, weaves and wallcoverings are complemented by Poetica Wools, a selection of tactile, textured wool mixes in an unsaturated, natural palette. The wools are suitable for both drapes and upholstery.
