Humanscale opens Manchester showroom

Ergonomic furniture manufacturer Humanscale has opened a new showroom in Manchester as it looks to strengthen ties with architects, designers, building project and facilities managers in the North West.

Located on the 12th floor of Chancery Place, the space embodies Humanscale’s approach to an ergonomic work environment, showcasing solutions that specialise in optimising design for wellness and performance.

“Manchester is a growing business centre,” says founder and CEO Bob King. “With our new showroom, we want to provide our customers with an understanding of our product line and commitment to sustainability.”

On arrival, visitors are greeted by an informal breakfast bar area equipped with M/Connect series docking stations and new NeatCharge in-built charging system, which can be activated in seconds. The display area also features Humanscale’s chairs, sit/stand desks and monitor arms as well as its tools and accessories.

With a nod to the New York showroom located in the Grace Building on Bryant Park, the new Manchester space will provide visitors with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the brand’s design heritage whilst gaining an up to date look at the the company’s ground-breaking work around environmental stewardship.

At Humanscale, every internal decision is evaluated to minimise the impact to the Earth. To date, 26 Humanscale products have been certified net positive by The International Living Future Institute – meaning any time they are made, the planet is measurably better off. Smart Ocean and Liberty Ocean chairs utilise material from discarded fishing nets, pulled directly from they ocean. The nets are transformed into plastic pellets and then used to manufacture the chairs. In the interest of transparency, the materials for each product are listed on the Declare Product Database and proudly displayed in the new showroom.
