Kettal expands Meteo range

Outdoor furniture designer and manufacturer Kettal has unveiled Meteo S, a continuation of the Meteo collection designed by Konstantin Grcic, exploring the untapped potential of modern sunshade design.

The growing influence of sunshades and other shade systems in the planning and furnishing of modern urban landscapes, leisure resorts and private residences presents the challenge of providing a renewed focus for this specialised product category.

This collection was developed on the basis of Kettal’s experience in garden furniture, motivated by a genuine search for performance and quality in design: a contemporary, comfortable product made of the most intelligent materials for efficient and long-lasting protection.

Meteo S measuring 200 x 200 cm, is designed with sustainable materials: 70% of the parasol is made from recycled materials. 100% recyclable. It is a basic model, which uses a manual and simple system for its opening and closing.

Meteo S is available in 34 “Terrain Fabrics” fabric colors, 22 “Parallel Fabrics”, and 30 “Terrain paints” aluminum colors, as the base of the parasol.

Konstantin Grcic has developed furniture, products and lighting for some of the world’s leading design companies.  Each of his products is characterised by a careful research into the history of design and architecture and his passion for technology and materials. Known for pared-down pieces, Grcic is often called a minimalist but the designer himself prefers to speak of simplicity.

Founded in 1966, Kettal seeks to create timeless furniture, functional and expressive, which represents a contemporary culture and provides solutions to the emerging needs of modern life, based on a blend of creativity, customisation, innovation and modern production.
