Nanimarquina and Manel Molina unveil Folded bench collection
Nanimarquina, in collaboration with designer Manel Molina, has introduced Folded, a new bench that reinterprets the concept of the carpet.
Seeking to challenge the traditional boundaries of design, the sculptural piece elevates the functionality of a carpet beyond the floor, where it transforms into a practical and versatile furniture element.
The upholstery design and the shape of the bench itself have been conceived as an inseparable duo, combining functionality and expressiveness. Available in small, medium and large sizes, Folded features three design options – a plain version that highlights the purity of its lines, a dynamic and textured patterned model, and an option with embroidered flowers that evokes craftsmanship and detail.
“With this bench, we wanted to explore new dimensions of the carpet concept, taking it beyond its usual use and giving it a three-dimensional presence in space,” explains Nani Marquina. Meanwhile, Manel Molina highlights the piece’s versatility and artistic character: “We seek to merge art and functionality into an object that transcends the conventional.”
The launch of this collection reaffirms both designers’ commitment to innovation in contemporary design, offering a proposal that balances aesthetics, comfort and a cutting-edge reinterpretation of a traditional element.
