Lighting manufacturer Preciosa has unveiled its newest Signature Design, Diamond Cloud, inspired by the Bohemian Diamond Cut.

The design principle this latest launch, the Diamond Cut was created specially to emphasise a crystal’s properties in combination with light. The suspension of the components and their crafted arrangement, along with the special cut, means Diamond Cloud excels in the refraction and reflection of light.

When a crystal rod featuring the Diamond Cut is lit, each of the facets looks different and adds a rich depth to the installation as a whole. The strategic arrangement of the triangular rods gives the installation diversity, layers and a richness of rhythm. Every side of the light’s pattern has a different look because every edge is defined using a component with a different surface treatment. The smallest detailed cut on every component escalates the fixture’s overall appearance. The combination of carefully placed triangular rods, with various surface treatments and precise cuts is what gives Diamond Cloud its geometrically clean and contemporary composition.

The versatility of Diamond Cloud is one of its greatest attributes; designers can choose clear or frosted components, as well as the fixture’s size and shape. The installation can be static, or RGBW capabilities can be added to make it dynamic. Designers can choose a Preciosa-designed Diamond Cloud to adapt to their space or create one themselves with support from the company’s designers.
