Roca and Laufen to exhibit at HIX 2025

Premium bathroom manufacturers Roca and Laufen will both be exhibiting at HIX 2025, Europe’s leading event for hotel and hospitality design, taking place on 26-27 November at the Business Design Centre, London.

At stand 4, Roca will showcase how intelligent design and digital innovation are transforming the future of sustainable hospitality. This year, Roca’s theme of Shaping Sustainable Stays highlights the company’s commitment to creating spaces where technology quietly enhances efficiency, hygiene and guest wellbeing, allowing travellers to enjoy their stay with total peace of mind.

At the heart of Roca’s vision is Roca Connect, a cloud-based smart bathroom platform that enables hoteliers to monitor, configure and maintain connected products such as smart showers, smart toilets and E-mixers, including the new Ona Hotels E-mixer.

Through Roca Connect, hotel operators enjoy real-time insights into product performance and usage data, helping to optimise water and energy consumption, simplify maintenance and improve operational efficiency. This intelligent ecosystem supports responsible resource management while ensuring seamless guest comfort, both front of house and behind the scenes.

Roca

Alongside its connected bathroom technologies, Roca will present a curated selection of design-led innovations, including the Kay brassware collection and new Meridian basins and furniture collection, both of which balance soft curves and clean, straight lines.

The stand will also feature Duplo S flush plates, demonstrating new opportunities for customisation, showcasing how design versatility and sustainability can work hand in hand in contemporary hospitality projects.

Visitors will also discover Roca’s latest smart toilet innovations, including the elegant In-Wash® Vorea, which combines refined aesthetics with cutting-edge hygiene technology.

Laufen meanwhile, at stand 6, will invite visitors to experience how innovation goes ‘beyond the surface’ – where aesthetics, sustainability and technical mastery intersect to shape the bathrooms of tomorrow.

Laufen Arun

In step with HIX 2025’s theme, Culture Clash, Laufen will challenge traditional definitions of luxury by proving that environmental responsibility and elevated design are not mutually exclusive but inextricably linked.

At the centre of Laufen’s presentation is Volta, a new design concept by Yves Béhar, founder and CEO of Fuseproject. Created from Laufen’s pioneering SaphirKeramik, Volta celebrates both water and the solar energy that fuels the E-Kiln, Laufen’s world-first electronic tunnel kiln where the basin was made. VOLTA’s sculptural form captures the swirling rhythm of water, evoking motion and purity while promoting natural selfcleaning and efficiency.

“Since its launch in 2013, SaphirKeramik has become synonymous with Laufen’s design innovation – an ultra-thin yet remarkably durable ceramic,” says Jon Bond, Projects Sales Director for Roca & Laufen. “Over the past decade, it has redefined the boundaries of form, precision and creative freedom in bathroom design.”

With Volta, the material’s expressive potential reaches new heights, uniting strength, sustainability and sculptural elegance to illustrate how design can respond to a changing world.

Laufen

Alongside Volta, Laufen will showcase its latest innovations in glazed steel basins – blending resilience with refined beauty. Highly resistant to scratches, moisture and chemicals, glazed steel is engineered for demanding hospitality environments, where performance and aesthetics must coexist. When paired with the Arun furniture collection’s wood and natural stone finishes, these pieces reflect Laufen’s mastery in balancing strength with sophistication.

“The Arun Collection speaks to modern hospitality’s need for materials that are as enduring as they are elegant,” adds Bond. “By combining glazed steel with natural surfaces, we’ve created designs that express both functionality and warmth – where durability becomes part of the beauty.”

By blending design integrity with advanced production technologies, Laufen addresses the key priorities of contemporary hospitality – hygiene, ease of maintenance and long-term durability – without compromising on aesthetic vision.

As Bond concludes: “At Laufen, we believe true innovation happens where design, sustainability and human experience meet,” concludes Bond. “HIX 2025 provides the perfect stage to demonstrate how we’re redefining what luxury means in hospitality, creating bathrooms that perform beautifully while respecting the planet.”
