Romo releases Kelso collection

Romo, led by Design Director Emily Mould, has released Kelso – a range of prints, weaves and embroideries.

The quintessentially British collection conjures thoughts of a picturesque country retreat and scenic woodland walks. Reminiscent of time-honoured designs and handcrafted artistry, the collection offers a modern take on tradition, comprising ten classic yet contemporary designs with a charming quality and inviting textural appeal.

Natural qualities feature distinctive designs including wistful oak leaves, timeless checks, an intricate lace-inspired design and a hand-drawn floral. Muted shades of soft grey, duck egg blue and pale green are incorporated in a palette of distinguished tones that instil a sense of heritage charm.

Time-honoured designs tell a story of Britain’s interior heritage with delicate florals, classic plaids, stripes and checks having stood the test of time. The British countryside has inspired many classic designs, from the modest oak tree leaf to the highly prized garden rose. Elements of craft including intricate cross-stitch, delicate lace and traditional hand block printing have also been a key source of inspiration for many generations. These historic designs and handcrafted elements continue to feature prominently in interiors, seeing trend and tradition evolve together to suit a contemporary audience.

The collection includes: Kelso, a printed linen featuring decorative oak leaves; Kelso Embroidery, with an intricate embroidered cross stitch; Cressida, a large-scale floral linen, originally hand drawn in charcoal; Odette, inspired by intricate, handcrafted lace; Belford, a soft check; Malden, a window pane check in classic shades; Odin, a decorative weave; Aubrey, with a chevron design that incorporates twisted yarn; and Tibor, a versatile semi-plain weave.

Romo has also recently launched four other new collections, including Damaris wide-width linens, Elwin textured weaves, Romari linen satin, and Tatiana velvet.
