Sonic Chair reveals new wireless charging model

The Sonic Chair is now available in a wireless charging model, building on an already unique auditive experience that allows user to sit at the centre of sound. Unlike free-standing loudspeakers or headphones, the chair creates a micro sound space in which every acoustic source is optimally adjusted to the listener, regardless of what sort of room it is in.

This ensures an unusually intense listening experience, with a specially developed structure-borne sound membrane in the backrest creating especially low, non-audible frequencies and giving users the feeling of hearing music live. At the same time, the active and passive sound insulation generates an acoustic island.

The chair comprises a seating element with loudspeakers, a structure-borne sound membrane with a highly precise structure-borne sound transducer for undisturbed listening enjoyment, even in loud environments, as well as high quality audio-visual presentations and the integration of iMac with touchscreen, iPad or VR goggles, which is possible using a wireless connection via Bluetooth or Syncronice sound masking.

Winner of a Red Dot Design Award, it is manufactured in Cologne, Germany, where every seating element is produced by hand and equipped according to the customer’s orders. There are also a number of versions and different types of added equipment including: inside upholstery made of robust, suede look microfibre by Kvadrat in 39 colours, outside upholstery made of easy care Vinyl by ATN, alternative upholstery in finest Semi-Aniline leather by Elmo, and two Stereo RCA connectors in the pedestal and on seating ring to connect various audio sources (CD player, record player, TV).
