Unidrain brings Nordic minimalism to Nobis Hotel Copenhagen

Unidrain has revealed its work on Nobis Hotel Copenhagen, bringing Nordic minimalism to 100 bathrooms.

Boasting Scandinavian elegance, each unit has been designed with a chic minimalist design scheme, creating an environment where guests can relax and pamper themselves.

The spaces comprise large bathtubs surrounded by marble tiles, a large single mirror positioned above the washing area, and a wash basin that reflects light back into the room.

Enclosed in a sleek sheet of glass, water falls from an oversized shower head, bouncing on the tiles beneath before disappearing into a bespoke single drain.

At the architect’s request, Unidrain created and supplied designer drains for the shower cubicles across the entire hotel.

80 of the bathrooms were fitted with customised linear drains. Each classic steel grating was replaced with the same marble as the bathroom, making them almost invisible to the eye

Working in conjunction with its architectural advisor Dennis Bagge, Unidrain ensured that the client’s needs were met.

For example, twenty of the bathrooms were particularly large and needed extra-long drains. This required a single drain to cover an expanse of more than two metres, so the brand provided bespoke, extra-long products that met the client’s specific dimensions.

“When liaising with the architect on this project, the bathroom solutions were easier to create,” comments Bagge. “This was due to Unidrain’s reputation and ability to craft and install a single drain which would run from wall to wall, covering a length of over two metres.”

These tailor-made solutions were the finishing touches to the bathrooms, helping to create a desired wellness experience.
